Remnants of Hurricane Barbara
It is not certain, but possible leftovers from Hurricane Barbara are now centered in the Southern Gulf of Mexico over the Bay of Campeche. Just southeast of the spot where the Hurricane diminished is an area of low pressure. It is a very weak area, with only a 10% chance at this time to possibly develop into a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours. Nevertheless, the area does exist, so it is being reported here now. Any further updates will be forthcoming if the front intensifies. Due to unfavorable upper-level winds, the chances are slim that this storm will actually intensify.
There is a growing unorganized area throughout the gulf that has a chance of organizing, but no real details are available at this time.
