Tropical Storm Dalila now a Category 1 Hurricane
Tropical storm Dalia has been upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane. The storm is constantly moving away from the Mexican coastline at only 2 MPH with a wind speed of 75MPH and wind gusts at 90 MPH. The barometric pressure has dropped now to 987 mb. Dalia is expected to bring strong surf and swells. Those will likely occur on the Southwest Coast of Mexico near Cabo Corrientes. “These swells could cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions”. Because the storm is running so slow over open water, it is expected that the storm stay at least a minimal category one at least until the afternoon of July 4th. Presently the storm is less than 200 miles off of the Mexican coast.
